Discover Wales Through Its Literature

Discover the landscapes across Wales that inspired some of our most treasured works of literature. Walk in your favourite character's footsteps. See the world through their eyes. Rediscover old favourites and make new ones on a magical literary tour.

Based in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, Booklovers' Tours offers specialised small scale literary tours for people interested in exploring the landscapes and environments that inspired their favourite authors and literary works. Our unique specialist tours are led by knowledgeable and experienced guides and include talks and dramatised readings of selected books.

Our emphasis is on small intimate tours around Wales and the border counties which have a very personal input and often take you off the beaten track to areas of outstanding natural beauty and solitude. You will discover how the Welsh landscape has influenced writers throughout the years and will explore the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons, Mid and West Wales and the Border Counties whilst also discovering their hidden literature and history.

Booklovers' Tours is owned and run by Sian Drinan, a professional actress, storyteller and English teacher with over 30 years experience in sharing her love and knowledge of literature and the arts. Sian is a proud Gower girl, born in Llanmadoc and brought up in the Brecon Beacons where she now lives in the historic market town of Brecon.
